DISASSEMBLY
CAUTION:
Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing
.
HINT:
-
Use the same procedure for both the RH and LH sides.

The procedure described below is for the RH side.
1. DISCONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected
.
2. REMOVE REAR DOOR FRAME GARNISH
|
(a) Disengage the 6 clips and remove the rear door frame garnish.
|
3. REMOVE REAR DOOR ARMREST BASE UPPER PANEL
|
(a) Disengage the 2 clips and 5 claws and remove the rear door armrest base upper panel.
|
4. REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL PLUG
|
(a) Using a moulding remover, disengage the 4 claws and remove the rear door inside handle bezel plug.
|
5. REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the rear door armrest cover.
(b) Remove the 2 screws.
|
(c) Disengage the 9 clips.
|
(d) Disconnect the connector.
|
(e) Disconnect the rear door lock remote control cable and the rear door inside locking cable and remove the rear door trim board sub-assembly.
|
6. REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL
|
(a) Remove the 4 screws and remove the rear door inside handle bezel.
|
7. REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE SUB-ASSEMBLY
|
(a) Remove the 3 screws and remove the rear door inside handle sub-assembly.
|
8. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS INNER WEATHERSTRIP
|
(a) Raise the 8 claws of the rear door glass inner weatherstrip and then remove the rear door glass inner weatherstrip from the rear door trim board sub-assembly, as shown in the illustration.
|
9. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY
10. REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM NO. 2 BRACKET
|
(a) Remove the 2 screws and remove the rear door trim No. 2 bracket.
|
11. REMOVE REAR DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER
|
(a) Disengage the clamps and disconnect the connectors.
|
|
(b) Remove the rear door service hole cover.
NOTICE:
Remove any tape remaining on the door.
|
12. REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW FRAME REAR MOULDING
13. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS OUTER WEATHERSTRIP
14. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS RUN
|
(a) Remove the rear door glass run.
|
15. REMOVE SUNSHADE HOOK
|
(a) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the claw and remove the 2 sunshade hooks.
|
16. REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW FRAME REAR LOWER SUB-ASSEMBLY
|
(a) Loosen nut A.
|
(b) Remove the 3 bolts and remove the rear door window frame rear lower sub-assembly.
NOTICE:
Do not drop or damage the rear door window frame rear lower sub-assembly.
17. REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW GUIDE FRONT SUB-ASSEMBLY
|
(a) Remove the 2 bolts and remove rear door window guide front sub-assembly.
NOTICE:
Do not drop or damage the rear door window guide front sub-assembly when removing the bolts.

18. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Provisionally install the power window switch.
(b) Move the rear door glass until the 2 bolts can be seen through the service holes.
(c) Remove the 2 bolts and remove the rear door glass sub-assembly.
NOTICE:
Do not damage the door glass.
19. REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the connector.
|
(b) Loosen bolt A.
(c) Remove the 5 bolts and remove the rear door window regulator sub-assembly.
NOTICE:
Do not damage the rear door window regulator sub-assembly.
20. REMOVE REAR DOOR CHECK ASSEMBLY
|
(a) Remove the bolt and 2 nuts.
|
(b) Remove the rear door check assembly.
NOTICE:
Do not drop or damage the rear door check assembly when removing the bolt and nuts.
21. REMOVE REAR DOOR WEATHERSTRIP
|
(a) Disengage the 42 clips and remove the rear door weatherstrip.
|
22. REMOVE REAR DOOR NO. 2 WEATHERSTRIP
|
(a) Disengage the 17 clips and remove rear door No. 2 weatherstrip.
|
23. REMOVE REAR DOOR LOCK
24. REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE COVER
|
(a) Using "TORX" socket wrench T30, remove the screw and the rear door outside handle cover.
|
25. REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE ASSEMBLY
|
(a) Remove the rear door outside handle assembly by sliding and pulling it in the direction indicated by the arrow mark in the illustration.
|
26. REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE REAR PAD
|
(a) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the rear door outside handle rear pad.
|
27. REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE FRONT PAD
|
(a) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the rear door outside handle front pad.
|
28. REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY
|
(a) Using "TORX" socket wrench T30, loosen the screw.
|
(b) Disengage the claw and slide the rear door outside handle frame sub-assembly to remove it.
29. REMOVE CUSHION
|
(a) Remove the cushions from the door panel.
